Just a basic, reliable flashlight
« on: October 23, 2017, 07:40:01 PM »
I'm new to the forum. I've made multiple bad decisions when it comes to flashlights, so I'm here asking the experts for advice.
I'd like to buy a simple 18650 flashlight. It doesn't have to have a charging port. It doesn't have to strobe or signal SOS or emit blue death rays. It doesn't have to be useful as a weapon or survive submersion to 100m.

What it does have to have:
Durable and reliable (this is most important)
Medium size--I don't want a tiny thing or a great big thing. I don't need to carry it around in my shirt pocket
End cap on/off switch
Remembers last setting (I hate having to toggle through settings every time I turn it on)
Flat on the end so I can stand it upright
Price: Preferably 50 bucks or less

Your recommendations would be much appreciated.

Hi bigdancehawk and welcome to the forum.

Two lights that come to mind right off the top od my head are the Jaxman EL2 Triple and the Convoy S2+.
There are a ton of 18650 EDC sized lights out there though and lots of them that are even smaller , but of course the runtimes will be less with smaller cell lights.

Here is a link to the 2 lights I mentioned that both fall well under the $50 you mentioned..........
