Browsing in a thread between different pages.
« on: October 02, 2013, 08:51:07 AM »
Just noticed, that browsing between different pages in a Thread is not the easiest...
I would suggest adding bigger fonts for the numbers, to easily browse between pages..

I have commented this on the emporium forum as well, and took me quite some time to make that thread, but its lost..

Browsing between different pages in 1 thread is not easy this way.. the numbers are way too small.

can this be improved somehow?

Hi Chibi,

Have a look now and see if you find any improvement. You may have to refresh your browser a few times to see the changes.

The problem is, sometimes what may appear to be a superficial change for one thing (like a font size change for example) can have further unforeseen implications to other parts of the forum design which aren't immediately apparent.

I'll keep monitoring the changes I've made and if they throw up further problems I'll try to isolate just those particular fonts by adding a new css class. I'm hoping it won't be necessary though.

They page numbers should be noticeably larger now though.

Depending on your browser you can also try changing the minimum font size. In Firefox this is in Advanced font settings.

Thanks for the idea Chloe.

I guess I just have some preferences.. I also miss a Next button... which is much easier to click on a iphone/ipod/tablet than any small/medium sized number..
anybody else browsing the net often on a small screen device?

Yeah but you're using an S3 and I'm on a Note2.  I think Chibi means a "small screen" device aka 'iPhone'.  :P ;D ;D ;D

Yep, or Ipod touch..

A "Next" button would be a nice addition, and would be easier to navigate to the next page.. (because a Next button is usually quite a big bigger than a number button)

wow.. I haven`t said anything about flashlights yet on the forum...
sorry for being an annoying smart@ss

I hadn't thought of the issues users of lesser operating systems might experience..... could I suggest that in future they shy away from poor quality clones of decent devices? ::) ;D

sorry chibim I'm only kidding around and I agree a next page button much like the <<previous next>> buttons that have already been added to the bottom of the page will be useful.
