Cheap little 18650 mod

This is a pretty cool little light to mod. I tossed in a triple nichia using the same wires and driver and ended up with a nice little 5-600 lumen triple. A good 18650 battery runs it a long time. Obnoxious that it's three modes and you have to go past the blinky to turn it off though. Still a nice little light with a side clicky super tint for around the house stuff.

Eh?  Does it get hot fast?  The same light -- in black or brown -- is still for sale, under $5 postpaid

No it doesn't get hot too fast. It's not driving any of the emitters very hard.

With the stock driver and putting out just 600 lumens, even with a triple emitter setup it won't get that hot.  Actually less hot than it would with a single emitter getting all the power by itself simply because each of the three emitters in this mod is running under less power and more efficiently.
