Two new rechargeable keychain lights are challenging the Nitecore TIP for dominance in the small-but-powerful lozenge-light category:

MecArmy SGN7: triangular instant alarm button separate from the square light control button; claims 550 lumen output on high and lowest output of 1.5 lumens; strobe mode; capable of power output for charging other devices; pocket clip; slightly protruding buttons; comes with lanyard and charging cable.  Retail Price: $65.90

Manker LAD: Nichia LED options; includes two colors of output - one-lumen red light and higher-level white light; includes beacon mode, strobe mode, and blue dragon's-breath mode (I think a locating beacon around button?); claims 300 lumen output on high and lowest white output of 23 lumens; has mode memory; no lockout mode, but button is recessed. Retail Price: $25.95

The SGN7 and LAD light options and user interface differ significantly from the TIP.  It will be interesting to see the first reviews of these lights.

I went to the store to buy batteries - but they weren't included, so I had to buy them again.  -- Steven Wright

Post some URLs if you have them so we can view w/o searching. They sound interesting depending on cost.
