Which flashlight would suit me?
«

I want a flashlight with about 800 lumens of maximum power which I can charge via USB. And I want a twisting mechanism for dimming. And I don't want those strobe, sos and similar features.
Does such flashlight exist?
Thanks in advance...

Hello Gaya.
If you've got the dough, they got nearly every thing these days.
But seriously, how much would you consider spending?

Sorry it took so long to answer.
Nitecore has a couple you can check out.
Their P26 is a bit above your stated budget. Their EC22 is a shade under. Look those up and see which would suit your needs better.
A bit about the beam: the P26 states 24,000 cd (candela) which means it lights up objects at a father distance than the EC22 that states a bit over 8000 cd. If you need to see objects at a distance the narrower beam of the P26 will do the trick, where the EC22 provides a wider beam that will light up a broader area more evenly than the P26.
P26 would be called a "thrower". The EC22 would be called a flooder.
There ya have it.

Convoy. and a few others do some. Look for "ramping" for light variation.
Me. I prefer the ext charger. One does all syndrome (multiple battery size/types).
Don't restrict your range of lights for an internal charger. Not all top it right up
with warranty. I have over 20 with 3 more in mail at present. Another C8. BLF L2
and a lovely little Copper head triple for looks
The list is endless. ALL have their favourites.
Bigger. go the L2 Convoy/BLF.
Imalent DN35 is a small cracker. $100+ but I got mine in coupon a while ago for $47 USD.
Variable menu and charger. Several others copied it too.
You won't stop at one.

Basically.
Do you want a light to see distances. or one to light up the whole area.
Thrower. or flooder.
$60 will buy you a Convoy L2. $30ish will buy you a C8-2. Shorter range.
They throwers and reliable without costing the earth.
Flooder. I'd buy a Haekelite HT08 Surprising little well made torch.
a Astrolux S41 quad head Nichia. very nice spread with some range
$25ish on coupon. (gets very hot in hand on high)
Convoy S2+ $20+.
Or a C8 with O\P reflector. Throw with spread. Around $17-24.
Stick with Convoy. Astrolux. BCF. and Imalent. You won't go too wrong I reckon.
I have these above. none have given any trouble and ALL do a good job at sensible price.
There are also a LOT. Of named brands which cost lots more.
Most people will have differing opinions on which to buy. Sorry
