First what is the Price range you are comfortable with for a "quality" headlamp? Other than 18650 cell , What are some of your ideas on what you want such as , features , size , UI? Are you wanting something with a separate head and battery carrier , or is a one piece design with 90 degree head OK? Are you wanting a more throwy headlamp , more floody or a balance of the 2? Any certain type of work or use you use the light for?

Balance of the 2

Night shift work

Some area has light but not adequate to read plan or drawing

Well as far as the headlamps I have personally had experience with or reviewed (I think 11 of them now) , the 2 that are at the top of my list are the Olight H2R and the Thrunite TH30 , both very powerful headlamps. There are a lot of headlamps on the market now days and I am sure some of the other big name companies have some headlamps that are of good quality also.
I am just going on what I have reviewed and that i have personally though. Both of these lights are well under the $200 price you mentioned and both are great quality lights with onboard charging , included cell and charging cord. The Olight with magnetic tail charger and the Thrunite with USB side port charging. So far out of ALL the Olight and Thrunite products I have , or have reviewed , I think all of them are great build quality and both companies stand behind their products.

I am NOT affiliated with either company and simply like to review flashlights , so I do my best to give an unbiased and honest opinion in all my reviews.

Both should be available on Ebay also.
Here are those 2 reviews...........

Olight is 2300 lumens and ThruNite TH30 is 3350 lumens,,,do you feel difference in the brightness ?
Thx

Yes , but the beams are different at the same time. The Olight has the honeycomb TIR optic in it , where the Thrunite has the Orange Peel reflector. The Olight concentrates the light a little more it seems , while the Thrunite makes just a massive wall of light in a broader area.

Both are good for out to around 80 to 100 yards of decent light to see with , but the Thrunite does make the larger coverage area.

You might want to check out Spark and Zebralight options as well.
Looks like a Surefire kind of day..
