For me its a very simple Maglite XL50. Cheap and works well.

The XL 50 is a great flashlight. I really like the low setting too.
Have you tried those ML25's?

My PKDL PR-1 after 1 year of daily pocket carry...

Shiny, new looking lights are pretty but wear and age sure do add character that makes them even more appealing. It's always great to see a well used and loved torch!

I  have 2 little AAA Moonlight, beside both beds $2.50 AUD the pr. Del.
perfect for night walkies. (Ordered 3. 2 worked).
Main work round home. an old Ultrafire 68. AA Batt. does 90% of work.
Walkabout. Usually my old well scratched Ultrafire again. S-R5 with XM-L hi?
18650.
Outside. a 4 x 18650.   9 x XM-L2  Sky-Ray King.
All cheap. All rear springs copper wire soldered.  None flickering
Plus all gave extra output.
Mates told me Buy at least ONE good one. They all have mainly. I'm just starting.

Apart from a coupla loong throwers.None of the up to $200+ torches perform better than mine.
Nicer looking. More complex innards.
I just like 20% 50% 100%.
or just straight 100%. on-off Fine.
Plus mine. in total. would give me change from$150 over 6 or 7 yrs.
I'd love a good torch. But old fart on Pension. It ain't gonna happen hey.  (NOT BEGGING, I wouldn't accept).
I just appreciate looking at the beautiful things.  Specially the copper and bronzed\shaded ones.
So keep putting up the photo's yes. Large size.for my old eyes. chuckle.

Lately, I've been carrying these three, on-person, while not at work.

Left to Right: Armytek Dobermann XP-L cool white, Zebralight SC600w Mk III, and Zebralight SC600w (XH-P35, 4500K  Mk II L2, XM-L2, also 4500K).

The Armytek Dobermann XP-L is the only cool white light of the bunch.  I tend to prefer neutral and warmer tints, and the Nichia 2119B is my absolutely favorite tint of all).

...like this Surefire 6P 18650 Oveready-bored body, with Solarforce A001 head, B2 stainless bezel, S20 stainless switch, and loaded wit a Sportac Triple Nichia 219B 2-mode drop-in).  This one is almost always carried in a bag, these days.

But, sometimes it's nice to have a high-powered cool white spotter, and this one works very well, and is built like a tank.

Olight s1 baton. Here, I have added my top favorite EDC flashlight list. I used these flashlights and really a few of them have impressive features.

Well, I have an obvious brand bias, but I really like the Nightstick TAC-560XL. I am currently experimenting with belt carry modalities. How do you guys like to EDC outside of the pocket?

I prefer to use a holster as shown. The hammer loop keeps it from swinging. The drop carry makes it easier to draw than a higher belt carry .  Good flashlight holsters are hard to come by. This one came with the Inova X4, the light immediately to the left. You can carry any of the shown lights in this holster.  As you can see it is old & worn.  The search is on for a new one, but so far I have come up empty.  The rubber band was added to adjust the "holding tension" for smaller lights. The sides of this holster are made with a flexible material so it will expand for the larger diameter lights.  I put the emitter end of Big Larry in first.

This type of holster allows me to change lights on the fly. Additional holsters not required.

Nowadays.
It's a JETBEAM Jet 1 MK Pro in my pocket at all times.
With either a S2+ XP hi, or a Sofurn C8T with XP Hi NW
on Walkabout.  Spare batt for both in L\H pocket.

Serious shorter term walkabout. I use a Imalent DN35
with 35 chip and 26650 battery,
Runs at 1400\1450 with 2200 for boost.
That one. For it's size has a nice kick to it.
Plenty of spread and ranges almost forever.
Waay past range of my old eyes.
When you look at what we were using 65\70 yrs ago.
(Apart from military searchlights)
the average $5 torch will out range\spread the best then avail.

You lot don't know how lucky you are nowadays. Not only with electronics.
When I was a kid. My grandma's house still had GAS Lights in the walls.
and out on the streets.
