Silver plated battery braid
« on: October 07, 2014, 05:16:26 PM »

One of my friends on BLF sent me some of this stuff to try and I will say this. It's what I will be using from now on. After looking at the copper braid on some of my older mods I was really questioning the use of copper braid/mesh. Why? Because all that green stuff just can't be good. Take a look at some of your older mods if you don't believe me.

Now this stuff on the other hand is not going to give that same problem and Silver is a better conductor of electricity as well. It's not difficult at all to work with either. If anything it takes solder better than copper.

Nice stuff!  Not a horrible price either 1/4"x5' for under $10.

good to know - i dont think any of my copper braids are old enough to show problems or tarnishing/oxidation/corrosion etc yet but I might pick some of this up

As the budget is extremely tight at the moment I asked the wife about this. Bad move. You only have to guess at what silver she will let into the house. :'(
When the big picture is to big, look for a point you can start at and build from there.
