An old build revisited.

Most of you here would off already seen this light but for the new members this is one of my most used lights. I'll let the pictures do most of the talking as usual. This light was originally fitted with a 15 degree TIR but now has a 10 degree fitted along with a new lens/pill housing from a mishap modifying it in the lathe for the 10 degree TIR.

I'll start with the main tube. This was made to not have a normal tailcap as such and has the switch screwed into the housing from the very end with a step inside to separate the battery from the switch.

The switch sits in the housing and screws in from the end. You can see the step in the tube in this shot.

The switch holder is copper.

The pill is also copper.

It takes a KD 7135 3 amp driver and uses an XM-L U2 led.

The old pill/lens housing.

A jumble off bits and pieces put together makes this light.

The assembled light.

Left to right. A AA light made from an old MX alloy handle bar, middle this light, and right is a Solarforce L2M.

Thanks for reading. Cheers.

When the big picture is to big, look for a point you can start at and build from there.
