Hey everyone new kiwi member currently living in Oz here!

Predominantly my torch use is within hunting and fishing and a lot of my gear advice comes from the gear section of my hunting forum but I always respect the knowledge and advice from dedicated forums and find they have more to offer

I'm no collector of flashlights but I do want a kickass light to blind my hunting buddy next time he waves his big donk torch around camp

Welcome, Spear_Rib!  Sorry for the delayed response to your post.  I'd imagine you want a light with a bit more throw.  For the money, the Astrolux FT03 and FT03 Mini are tough to beat.  I am especially a fan of the FT03 Mini in either  LED offered (SST40 and XHP50.2)  SST40 offers a bit more throw and less spill but the XHP50.2 offers good throw and more spill for an overall better balanced light, IMO.  I liked the mini so much I bought one of each!

There are tons of other good choices out there though.  All depends on your budget and preferences.
